                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO ZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 940, 950,
                   960, AND 1000 CRAVENS TERRACE, BEING ON THE
                   NORTHEAST, NORTHWEST, SOUTHEAST, AND SOUTHWEST
                   LINE OF CRAVENS TERRACE NORTHWEST OF SOUTH
                   SCENIC HIGHWAY, TO R-1 ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to zone:
               
                A tract of land located at  940, 950, 960, and 1000
                Cravens Terrace, being on the northeast, northwest,
                southeast, and southwest line of Cravens Terrace
                northwest of South Scenic Highway.  Lots 1 and 2,
                Dewitt B. James Subdivision, as shown by plat of
                record in plat book 54, page 27, ROHC, and three
                unplatted tracts, together with part of Cravens
                Terrace and part of an unnamed road; being the
                Frierson and James Annexation Area as described in
                Chattanooga City Ordinance No. 10194.  Tax Map No.
                155H-B-16, and 155I-A-1, 1.1, 2, and 2.1.
               
         to R-1 Zone.

              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
